What is cloud VoIP and how does it differ from a traditional PBX?

Cloud VoIP routes calls over the internet instead of physical phone lines, managed in the cloud. No PBX cabinet, no hardware maintenance, new extensions added in clicks. Israeli providers: 012 Smile, Bezeq International, Cellcom Business, MTS, Office4Me.

How much bandwidth does each call need?

A single VoIP call in G.711 needs ~90 Kbps each way. 10 concurrent calls = ~1 Mbps. Most Israeli business internet packages (100 Mbps+) handle this easily. Enable QoS on your router so VoIP gets priority.

Can I keep my current landline number?

Yes. Most providers support number porting from Bezeq / existing landlines. The process takes 7-14 business days; dual-line operation during transition.

What happens if internet goes down?

Incoming calls can auto-forward to mobile via the Failover feature. Outgoing calls stop until internet is restored. Critical businesses should add an LTE backup line.
